Catherine Gendron, Head of Organizational Culture and General Manager, AGF Group Foundation, shares her impressions of the dynamic that drives AGF:<\/p>\n

If I’m speaking to you about family today, it’s because I get to meet many members of our team during the course of my work. Recently, the beautiful summer weather and AGF’s 75th anniversary celebrations were the perfect reason to visit the AGF family and see how we bring the value of team spirit to life at our various locations.<\/p>\n

At a picnic organized by the AGF Rebar team in Ontario, where many employees brought their kids (and some even their moms!), Hind, Praba, Alison, Basheer, Nadia Nellie, Marilyn, Ishani and Islam talked to me about recognition, the atmosphere in the workplace and mutual support. I sensed just how much they care for each other, and that this is what enables them to rise to any challenge. In fact, they’re all eagerly awaiting the implementation of Oracle (a software package designed to modernize our processes) at long last, and are watching the rollout in Ottawa with great interest. I’ve also heard a lot about newcomers to Canada who have joined AGF and how they feel supported even beyond the workplace.<\/p>\n

In Quebec City, the topic was optimism, as I chatted with Aina, Chloé, Caroline, Denis, Luc, Annie, Stéphanie, Serge, Alex and many others. You get the feeling that nothing is too much for them. The “clan” is extremely proud of this year’s great results and confident they can repeat this achievement year after year. And, with their attitude, I’m sure they’ll succeed.<\/p>\n

In Trois-Rivières, I think perseverance aptly describes our family. Annie, Luc, Caroline, Réal, Claude, Bag, Kevin, Steve, Stéphane, Jonathan and many others talked to me about their current projects, including the Samuel de Champlain bridge, which was a landmark accomplishment, as well as the Grand-Mère complex dam, which they were working on at the time. We also talked about the yard at the shop, which has been completely reorganized and is now the epitome of order and tidiness. Lastly, we spoke about the teams under development, with guidance from new key people.<\/p>\n

Take a look at some of the photos in my album. We shared some memorable moments and took the time to highlight this year’s achievements at the shop, on job sites and in the office.<\/p>\n

Un aire de familia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

“Nuestro gran equipo, distribuido por todo Canadá y a nivel internacional, se une en torno al acero de refuerzo. Compartimos los mismos valores, como si fuese un aire de familia que nos une.”<\/p>\n

Catherine Gendron, Directora, Cultura organizacional, y Directora general, Fundación Grupo AGF, nos comparte lo que piensa sobre la dinámica que le da vida a AGF:<\/p>\n

Si les hablo hoy de familia es porque mi trabajo me lleva a conocer a varios de los miembros de nuestro equipo. Recientemente, la hermosa temperatura estival y las celebraciones de los 75 años de AGF fueron justamente una buena razón para ir a visitar a la familia AGF y ver cómo nuestro valor de espíritu de equipo se manifiesta aquí y allá.<\/p>\n

Durante el picnic organizado por el equipo de AGF Rebar en Ontario, al cual varios llevaron a sus hijos (¡e incluso algunos a sus madres!), Hind, Praba, Alison, Basheer, Nadia Nellie, Marilyn, Ishani e Islam me hablaron de reconocimiento, de ambiente laboral y de apoyo mutuo. Sentí hasta qué punto unos están ahí para los otros y esto es lo que les permite superar cualquier reto. Todos están ansiosos de que se implemente Oracle (un programa que tiene como objetivo modernizar nuestros procedimientos) y mientras tanto observan con gran interés su desarrollo en Ottawa. También me hablaron mucho sobre las personas que integran AGF recién llegadas al país y de la manera en la que se sienten apoyadas, más allá de su ambiente de trabajo.<\/p>\n

En Quebec, con Aina, Chloé, Caroline, Denis, Luc, Annie, Stéphanie, Serge, Alex y muchos otros hablamos de optimismo. Creemos que nada representa un desafío para ellos. El clan que forman se siente extremadamente orgulloso de los extraordinarios resultados que obtuvieron este año y confían en que van a repetir este éxito año tras año. Estoy segura de que, con su actitud, lo lograrán.<\/p>\n

En Trois-Rivières, creo que la perseverancia describe bien a nuestra familia. Annie, Luc, Caroline, Réal, Claude, Bag, Kevin, Steve, Stéphane, Jonathan y muchos más me hablaron de su grandioso logro del puente Samuel-De Champlain, que fue notable, y de la presa compleja de Grand-Mère en la cual participaron al mismo tiempo. También intercambiamos sobre cómo se reorganizó completamente el patio de la fábrica, el cual es un ejemplo de orden y limpieza. Finalmente, hablamos de los equipos en pleno desarrollo bajo el mando de nuevas personas clave.<\/p>\n

Les presento algunas fotografías de mi álbum. Compartimos bellos momentos y tomamos el tiempo de subrayar las bellas realizaciones de este año, tanto en la fábrica como en las obras y en las oficinas.<\/p>\n
