Today, let’s take a look back at the fundraising activities organized by the Foundation over the past month.<\/p>\n

Great Cycle Challenge results<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As a reminder, throughout August, several AGF employees once again decided to take part in the Great Cycle Challenge. This competition involves cycling the greatest number of kilometers to raise money and support the fight against childhood cancer. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In the end, our little team cycled 395 km and raised $2,284.61 for the fight against cancer – a nice sum! 
\n <\/p>\n

2 great 50-50 draws for 2 great causes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once again, as part of AGF’s 75th anniversary celebrations, employees rallied round to organize a number of fundraising events. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

First, a beautiful 50-50 draw was organized in our new Halifax division, at Rendan Fabricators!
\nThe whole team decided to donate half the amount to the IWK Health Centre, a large pediatric hospital and trauma center. This facility primarily cares for young people, children and women in the Maritimes, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Congratulations to the entire team!

\nIn Ottawa, hearts were in the right place, and an incredible amount of support was generated for this second 50-50 draw. 
\nHalf of the proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity<\/a>. A non-profit organization dedicated to building simple, decent and affordable housing.<\/p>\n

\nTerry-Fox Run<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, several members of our team took part in the Terry Fox Run this Sunday. 
\nWhat is a Terry Fox Run? This day is organized to raise funds and commemorate the Marathon of Hope undertaken by Terry Fox, who suffers from bone cancer (and has had one leg amputated above the knee).
\nWell done to the whole team who ran for the cause!  <\/p>\n

Actividades de la Fundación<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ahora, volvamos juntos a las actividades de recaudación de fondos organizadas por la Fundación durante el último mes.<\/p>\n

Resultados del “Great Cycle Challenge”<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Cabe recordar que, durante todo el mes de agosto, varios empleados de AGF decidieron participar en el “Great Cycle Challenge”.<\/p>\n

Esta competencia consiste en recorrer el mayor número de kilómetros en bicicleta para obtener apoyo y recaudar fondos para luchar contra el cáncer infantil.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, nuestro pequeño equipo logró recorrer 395 km en bicicleta y recaudar 2 284.61 CAD para luchar contra el cáncer, ¡un buen monto!<\/p>\n

Grandes sorteos 50-50 para dos valiosas causas<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Una vez más, con motivo de las celebraciones del 75º aniversario de AGF, los empleados se movilizaron para organizar extraordinarias colectas de fondos.<\/p>\n

En primer lugar, se realizó un maravilloso sorteo 50-50 en nuestra nueva división de Halifax, ¡en Rendan Fabricators!<\/p>\n

Nuestro extraordinario equipo decidió donar la mitad de la suma al IWK Health Centre, un gran hospital pediátrico y centro de traumatología. Este centro ofrece principalmente cuidados a los jóvenes, los niños y las mujeres de las Provincias Marítimas Nueva Escocia, Nuevo Brunswick y la Isla del Príncipe Eduardo. ¡Felicidades a todo el equipo!<\/p>\n

En Ottawa, el ambiente era festivo y una movilización increíble vio la luz para este segundo sorteo 50-50.<\/p>\n

La mitad de esa suma se entregará a Hábitat para la Humanidad<\/a>: una organización no lucrativa dedicada a la construcción de viviendas sencillas, decentes y asequibles.<\/p>\n

Carrera Terry-Fox<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Finalmente, varios miembros de nuestro equipo participaron el domingo en la carrera Terry Fox.<\/p>\n

Este día se organiza para recaudar fondos y recordar el Maratón de la Esperanza emprendido por Terry Fox, quien padecía de un cáncer óseo (y tenía una pierna amputada por encima de la rodilla). ¡Bravo a todo el equipo que corrió por la causa!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
