Marcotte wastewater treatment plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Our AGF teams in Longueuil worked on building the world&#8217;s largest ozonation unit at the Jean-R.-Marcotte treatment plant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work on the project, which is still ongoing, is taking place at three locations in Montreal:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The site of the Jean-R.-Marcotte plant in Rivi&egrave;re-des-Prairies<\/li>\n<li>L&#8217;&icirc;le aux vaches in Laval<\/li>\n<li>Sherbrooke Street east<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project is divided into several phases. The first, which AGF worked on from January to April 2023, includes the entire siphon section, perhaps the most complex part of the project. Twelve of our team members (six on day shifts and six on nights) were assigned to do the work, which presented some major challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the project, they had to work with 4-gas detectors to ensure the air they were breathing on site was healthy. They also had to protect themselves from noise and odours. Last but not least, the project involved working at heights where our workers were attached to 45-degree slopes.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 2 of the work is scheduled to start in January 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Kudos to the entire team!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2517.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales Jean-R.-Marcotte<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nuestros equipos de AGF Longueuil trabajaron en la construcci&oacute;n de la unidad de ozonizaci&oacute;n m&aacute;s grande del mundo en la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales Jean-R.-Marcotte.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>La obra, todav&iacute;a en curso, se dispersa en 3 zonas de Montreal:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El terreno de la estaci&oacute;n Jean-R.-Marcotte,<\/li>\n<li>&Icirc;le aux Vaches en Laval<\/li>\n<li>La calle Sherbrooke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Se divide en varias fases. La primera, en la que AGF trabaj&oacute; de enero a abril de 2023, se refiere a toda la parte del sif&oacute;n, quiz&aacute;s la m&aacute;s compleja del proyecto. Doce miembros de nuestro equipo (seis en el turno de d&iacute;a y seis en el turno de noche) se movilizaron para realizar los trabajos que implicaban grandes desaf&iacute;os.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En efecto, durante todo el proyecto, tuvieron que trabajar con detectores de cuatro gases para garantizar que el aire estuviera sano en la obra. Tambi&eacute;n fue necesario protegerse del ruido y del olor.
