« La force ouvrière » hommage à Michel Chartrand par Armand Vaillancourt<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Le 7 juin 2013 se déroulait une conférence de presse ayant pour but de promouvoir la campagne « La force ouvrière, un hommage collectif à Michel Chartrand », œuvre conçue par le célèbre sculpteur Armand Vaillancourt. Certains collaborateurs étaient présents, dont notre président, Serge Gendron (au centre de la photo) qui a fourni gracieusement l’acier d’armature pour le projet.<\/p>\n

C’est donc le 10 août 2015 que commencèrent les travaux de cette œuvre monumentale qui est installée au parc régional Michel-Chartrand à Longueuil. La sculpture est érigée sur une base de béton d’un volume de 600 m3<\/sup> et 60 tonnes d’acier d’armature. Et qui dit armature dit Groupe AGF!<\/p>\n

En effet, certains d’entre nous ont même collaboré au projet : Stéphanie Lagacé (technicienne-chargée de projet chez Acier AGF) et Pierre-Luc Daneault (technicien-chargé de projet chez Acier ATR) ont travaillé de pair pour détailler l’acier d’armature, qui a été transformé dans les usines de Longueuil avant d’être installé sur le chantier, par nos ferrailleurs.<\/p>\n

Félicitations à tous ceux qui ont participé de près ou de loin au projet, contribuant ainsi à la mémoire du grand humaniste et syndicaliste Michel Chartrand.<\/p>\n
