Healthcare projects

Various divisions within AGF Group are working on a number of projects in the healthcare sector: 

 – CHSLD Sedna – 700 MT (Acier AGF) : Located in Ville St-Laurent, this project is considered essential by the government. For this reason, work has continued even though the construction industry was shut down in April. To ensure safety, the teams on site are working with new equipment and following the new rules made necessary by COVID-19. 

Work is progessing well. AGF’s involvement in this 700-tonne project is expected to be completed by the end of June. Our colleagues at AGF Tecnik have been responsible for detailing the shop drawings, and Jean-Guy Loubert has acted as project manager. Congratulations to the entire team!  

– Orleans Health Hub – 550 MT (AGF Steel) : This facility will provide a range of specialized and community-based care under one roof. When it is completed, residents of Ottawa East—from newborns to seniors—will benefit from integrated, needs-focused programs, offered in both official languages and close to home. (Carrefour santé Orleans.com). 

Since the project was also deemed essential by the provincial government, work was not interrupted, which allowed the crews to stick to the original schedule. Of course, all safety rules were applied to ensure the safety of our workers. 

– Pierre Le Gardeur hospital – 70 MT (Acier AGF):  it is an emergency site in connection with COVID-19 since it involves the construction of transition units to allow for the isolation of infected persons. Work began at the end of April for AGF and should be completed at the end of May.

A través de sus diferentes divisiones, Grupo AGF trabaja en diferentes proyectos para el área de salud: 

 – CHSLD Sedna – 700 t. Situado en Ville St-Laurent, se trata de un proyecto considerado esencial para el gobierno. Para garantizar la seguridad de todos, los equipos en el lugar trabajan con nuevos equipos y siguen nuevas reglas relacionadas a la enfermedad del COVID-19. La ejecución de los trabajos se desarrolla bien. La implicación de AGF en este proyecto de 700 t debe concluir a finales de junio. Nuestros colegas de AGF Tecnik se encargaron de realizar los dibujos de los planes de los detalles y Jean-Guy Loubert fue el gerente de proyecto. ¡Felicidades a todo el equipo!

– Orleans Health Hub – 550 t: Reagrupará, bajo un mismo techo, una gama de cuidados especializados y comunitarios. Cuando se complete el proyecto, los residentes del este de Ottawa, desde los recién nacidos hasta los mayores, podrán disfrutar de programas integrados y centrados en sus necesidades, ofrecidos en las dos lenguas oficiales y a proximidad de su domicilio. Igualmente considerada esencial para el gobierno provincial, la obra no fue interrumpida. Esto les permitió a los equipos respetar el calendario inicial. Por supuesto que se aplicaron todas las reglas de seguridad para garantizar que nuestros empleados trabajaran de manera segura.
