This month, we bring you an overview of new projects conducted by AGF Rebar teams in Ontario :

Coxwell Bypass

This tunnel, located in Toronto, will capture, store and transport combined sewer overflows, a mixture of rainwater and wastewater, for treatment at the Ashbridges Bay treatment plant.

The project consists of the creation of 5 wells shafts 53 to 58 m deep and two diversion chambers.

The base slab and the perimeter walls of the first two shafts are completed. During 2021, two more shafts will be drilled, the last one will be finalized in 2022. To date, AGF Rebar has supplied and installed a total of 1 525 MT steel out of a total tonnage of 4 940 MT.  The end of the work for AGF is scheduled for April 2023.

Block 15

Located in North York (Toronto),  it will include 3 residential towers of 19, 27 and 31 floors. 

This represents a tonnage of 7000 MT for AGF Rebar including 300 MT of grade 500W.  Shop drawings will be started at the end of February, and the supply of the steel is expected to start in June. The end of the work is estimated at December 2023 for our team. 

Finch LRT

This is a part of the construction project of the light rail in Toronto. 11 km in length and comprising 11 stops, it will run along Finch Avenue West in Toronto and will be fully integrated with the city’s existing transit system. 

AGF Rebar will detail and supply approximately 3 000 MT grade 400W steel for the track slabs. The end of the project is estimated at May 2022 for the AGF teams.

Block 15
Situado en Toronto, al final contará con tres torres de 19, 27 y 31 pisos, para uso exclusivamente residencial.

Esto representa 7000 t para AGF Rebar, de las cuales 300 t son de acero de grado 500. Los bosquejos de la fábrica se iniciarán a fines de febrero y el abastecimiento de acero debería de comenzar en junio. La finalización de la obra está prevista para diciembre de 2023. 

Tren ligero Finch 
Se trata del proyecto de construcción del tren ligero de Toronto. Tendrá una longitud de 11 km y 11 paradas. Circulará a lo largo de la avenida Finch Ouest en Toronto y estará completamente integrado al sistema de transporte existente en la ciudad.

AGF Rebar realizará el trabajo de detallado y aprovisionará aproximadamente 3000 t de acero de grado 400W para las losas de las líneas férreas. Está programado que los equipos de AGF finalicen el proyecto en mayo de 2022.

Coxwell Bypass
Este túnel, situado en Toronto, permitirá captar, almacenar y transportar los desbordamientos de las alcantarillas unitarias, una mezcla de agua de lluvia y de aguas residuales, para tratarlas en la estación de tratamiento de aguas de Ashbridges Bay.

El proyecto consiste en la creación de cinco pozos de 53 a 58 m de profundidad y dos cámaras. La losa de base y los muros periféricos de los dos primeros pozos ya se finalizaron.  Durante el 2021, se realizarán otros dos pozos. El último será finalizado en el 2022. Hasta ahora, AGF Rebar ha abastecido e instalado un total de 1525 t de acero de un tonelaje total de 4940 t. Está programado que AGF termine la obra en abril de 2023.
