On February 14, 2025, we had the honor of welcoming Lionel Carmant, Minister of Social Services and Member of the National Assembly for Taillon, to our facilities in Longueuil. The visit was filled with enriching discussions, during which we had the opportunity to present AGF’s expertise, as well as our vision for the coming months.
Since his last visit in 2019, our teams have doubled their efforts to innovate, particularly in health and safety. We were able to showcase significant advancements implemented to protect our workers: from the deployment of exoskeletons to reduce injury risks to numerous safety improvements on our machines, as well as programs and tools dedicated to well-being and mental health. These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a safer and more pleasant work environment for our employees.
The minister was also impressed by the scale of the projects in which AGF is involved, both in Canada and internationally. Whether it’s the reconstruction of the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge—a major project ensuring smooth travel between Montreal and Vaudreuil-Dorion—the construction of wind farms in Alberta as part of the country’s energy transition, or our contributions to residential buildings and healthcare centers across Canada and the world, AGF continues to play a key role in infrastructure development.
Finally, we spoke to him about the social commitment of AGF team members and everything we do for communities through the AGF Group Foundation. He recognized how deeply this value is embedded in our company culture.
We sincerely thank Mr. Carmant for his interest and appreciation of our teams’ work.
