AGF is actively involved in the construction of Le Gray, a residential project located in Longueuil, Quebec, in collaboration with NATLEX Inc. The project includes two 13-storey towers, featuring 346 residential units and commercial spaces on the ground floor. In total, 1,635 metric tons of rebar will be required to complete the two buildings.
Project progress
AGF began installation of the rebar in October 2024, starting with the first tower. To date, our teams have completed the two basement levels and are currently working on the ground floor.
A particular technical challenge of this project comes from its architectural design. As the columns on the second floor do not align with those on the ground floor, the structure requires the installation of transfer beams, adding complexity to site operations.
In addition, the limited space on site creates logistical challenges, requiring that deliveries be carefully planned and restricted to the materials needed for the day to avoid congestion.
Effective site management
Given these restrictions, advance planning and daily coordination are essential to keeping the work on track. Brian Kramar, our Site Foreman, plays a key role in managing these challenges. Thanks to his experience and attention to detail, Brian anticipates issues and supports the teams in progressing efficiently and safely, while keeping to the project schedule.
