On October 9, Les Elles de la Construction brought together over 150 people for the Elles reconnaissent Gala. The evening aimed to highlight the women who make the construction industry shine, with the presentation of five prestigious awards.
AGF was proud to have three finalists: Maude Camerlain, Chloé Gauvin and Geneviève Cadieux. Geneviève, our Senior Project Manager, stood out by winning the jury’s “Coup de Cœur” award.
She was visibly moved when she went on stage:
“I truly did not expect this. Just being a finalist was huge for me! Receiving this award is incredibly rewarding and it shows my children and those around me that you have to go for it and never give up.”
In an environment where women are still too few in central roles, Geneviève has made her mark. She set her boundaries, said no when necessary, but above all, she made her voice heard. This strength of character earned her the respect of her peers and clients, proving that acting with heart and determination produces real, lasting results.
Today, her role goes far beyond tasks and titles. She has built bridges between teams, turned tensions into strong collaborations and demonstrated that it is possible to excel in technical, operational and strategic roles, regardless of gender or background. Through her commitment and perseverance, Geneviève shows that strength, passion and determination make ambitions a reality. Her award goes beyond recognition, it sends a powerful message to all women seeking to carve their path in construction.
