At the very moment our teams were installing the final piece of reinforcing steel to complete the construction of 15 stations on the new Line 2 of the Lima Metro, AGF Peru was reaching another major milestone in its history: the inauguration of its new plant located in Callao, west of Lima.
On Tuesday, April 28, in the presence of representatives from the Embassy of Canada, clients, partners and the entire local team, the ribbon was officially cut alongside Ms. Anne-Marie Parent, Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Peru. It was a symbolic moment, reflecting both the journey AGF has taken in the country and the ambition driving our teams for the years ahead.
A Site Better Adapted to Growth
More spacious, better equipped for storage and more accessible for everyone, this new plant marks a true turning point for AGF Peru.
The new site covers an area of 4,600 m² and will bring together all fabrication activities that were previously divided between two locations. This consolidation will improve operational flow while supporting the growth of our activities in the region.
Production capacity will reach approximately 3,000 tonnes per month. The plant will be equipped with a shear cutting machine, threading machines, several automatic benders and machines for automated caisson fabrication. These installations will help strengthen our efficiency, precision and ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions, in line with the performance standards that have built AGF’s reputation around the world.
The site will also allow us to maintain a significant stock of reinforcing steel, enabling us to respond with agility to our clients’ needs and to the requirements of major infrastructure projects.
Certified Rebar, Marketed by AGF Peru
Since the beginning of 2026, AGF Peru has been marketing its own certified reinforcing steel, developed according to the highest quality standards. Through partnerships with world-class steel mills and direct supervision of production, their rebar offers high purity and superior mechanical performance. Compliant with the applicable Peruvian standard as well as ASTM A706 / A615 Grade 60 specifications, it combines structural strength and seismic performance in a reliable, certified product that stands out in the Peruvian market.
A Committed and Mobilized Team
What stands out when meeting the AGF Peru team is not only their seriousness at work, but also the warm welcome they offer to visitors. On the shop floor, as in the organization of this inauguration, you can feel the pride, unity and attention to detail that define this team.
In less than two weeks, the local team succeeded in organizing a remarkable event under the leadership of Diego Bravo and Luis Felipe Quiros, respectively Business Development Director and Commercial Director for South America. They were supported by several dedicated colleagues who were proud to contribute to this important milestone: Angel Aquino, Pamela Cuisano, Violeta Saune, Leyla Paco, Jennyfer Suarez, Fernando Recharte and Julian Moreno.
Congratulations to the entire team on this wonderful achievement. Thank you to each of you for your energy, professionalism and pride in making AGF shine in Peru.
Wishing you continued success!
