Foundation Week

AGF Group’s Canadian divisions just had the opportunity to celebrate the fourth edition of the Foundation Week. The idea behind such a week is very simple. Our mandate consists in providing the Foundation with good visibility in order to promote our mission to Group employees and to extend our appreciation to each person who is socially involved.

The team of ambassadors, who are the Foundation’s worthy representatives in each business unit, has shown creativity in the number and range of activities organized to mark this event. I’ve witnessed breakfasts, cheque presentations, dessert sharing, tea time, formal presentations, group discussions on social engagement, pancake meals, quizzes, BBQs, bingos, visits to other business units, and many more inspired initiatives. In some locations, the representatives of a few charitable organizations were invited to talk about their work in the community. I was told that some of them had very inspiring addresses, especially about the importance of giving.

For my part, I had the chance to visit the Ottawa, Markham, London, Kitchener and Longueuil divisions. It always brings me great pleasure to see the Foundation’s message reaching more and more people. I am also happy when people pull me aside to share what they have learned and how they intend to get involved. The beauty in all this is that there are only good ways to get involved with the Foundation!

Congratulations to all our ambassadors, you have set the tone for this amazing week and I am proud of the work you have accomplished as a team! I would also like to thank everyone who, in one way or another, participated in any of our activities.

Las divisiones canadienses del Grupo AGF tuvieron la oportunidad de celebrar la cuarta edición de la Semana de la Fundación. La idea detrás de una semana así es muy simple. Nuestro mandato consiste en proporcionar a la Fundación una buena visibilidad con el fin de promover nuestra misión a los empleados del Grupo y extender nuestro reconocimiento a cada persona que está socialmente involucrada.

El equipo de embajadores, que son los representantes dignos de la Fundación en cada unidad de negocios, ha demostrado creatividad en el número y el rango de actividades organizadas para marcar este evento. He presenciado desayunos, verificaciones, compartir postres, tomar el té, presentaciones formales, discusiones grupales sobre compromisos sociales, comidas de panqueques, pruebas, barbacoas, bingos, visitas a otras unidades de negocios y muchas otras iniciativas inspiradas. En algunos lugares, se invitó a los representantes de algunas organizaciones caritativas a hablar sobre su trabajo en la comunidad. Me dijeron que algunos de ellos tenían direcciones muy inspiradoras, especialmente sobre la importancia de dar.

Por mi parte, tuve la oportunidad de visitar las divisiones de Ottawa, Markham, Londres, Kitchener y Longueuil. Siempre me da mucho gusto ver el mensaje de la Fundación que llega a más y más personas. También me siento feliz cuando las personas me hacen a un lado para compartir lo que han aprendido y cómo pretenden participar. ¡La belleza de todo esto es que solo hay buenas maneras de involucrarse con la Fundación!

Felicitaciones a todos nuestros embajadores, ¡han establecido el tono para esta semana increíble y estoy orgulloso del trabajo que han realizado como equipo! También me gustaría agradecer a todos los que, de una manera u otra, participaron en cualquiera de nuestras actividades.
