40 years of service is worth celebrating!

In July 1981, Serge Gendron, Eng., FEC, took the reins of the family business Acier Gendron inc. founded by his father in 1948. 

In the 90s, a merger with the company Fertek marks the beginning of AGF. 

Over time, Serge Gendron has grown the company through acquisitions, partnerships or the creation of new entities. 40 years of challenges and projects later, AGF Group has become an international company with more than 2,300 employees and 25 business units. 

Like a boat captain, Serge Gendron has always known how to stay the course, guide and unite his teams. 

The Hebron Oil Platform, the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Dam, the Whitla Wind Wind Farm, the Ottawa Light Rail Train, the Lima Metro, the REM, … this is only a small part of the thousands of construction sites. that have marked AGF’s history over the past decades. 

In 2012, the creation of the AGF Group Foundation testifies to its desire to have a concrete social impact in the communities in which the company operates. Almost 10 years later, nearly $ 3 million has already been redistributed to charities. 

In order to show him their gratitude and underline his great career, the employees of the head office in Longueuil reserved a surprise party for Serge Gendron – in accordance with the rules of Public Health.
