Sale of AGF Access Group Inc.

In early January 2020, AGF Group Inc. reached an agreement with BrandSafway for the sale of all of its scaffolding and access operations, pending required government and regulatory approval. 

On 03 March 2020, the final sales contract was officially signed.

BrandSafway is an industry leader that offers a full line of forming, shoring, scaffolding and access solutions as well as industrial services around the world, relying on the expertise of 38,000 employees. This agreement provides AGF Access Group Inc. with the opportunity to continue its growth and execute its strategic plan in the years ahead.

The integration of each Access activity has been carefully planned with the new owner. We wish to ensure that current employees will quickly become comfortable with their new structure and work environment. 
AGF Group Inc. will now focus its efforts on developing the rebar sector in which it has been active for the past 72 years, both in Canada and in the countries where it operates internationally. It will continue to expand and extend its leadership position in its industry so it can meet its customers’ needs with expertise and professionalism.

The activities of the AGF Group Inc. steel sector will continue as usual following the transaction.
