Serge Gendron, Co-president of Poly’s fundraising campaign

Serge Gendron, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGF Group and Founding President of the AGF Group Foundation, has been named Co-president of Polytechnique’s major fundraising campaign “Ça se pense à Poly”.

In honor of Polytechnique Montréal’s 150th anniversary, the university has decided to launch this philanthropic initiative aimed at raising $150 million by 2028. The campaign will focus on three main ambitions:

• Responding to major societal challenges, particularly in terms of sustainable solutions.
• To train responsible and committed engineer-citizens.
• Make the campus a great place to live and work.

Mr. Gendron’s involvement

Mr. Gendron’s involvement in this campaign comes as no surprise, as he himself graduated from École Polytechnique de Montréal in civil engineering in 1973. His passion for the next generation of engineers is well known, as is his desire to support education and innovation. Through this presidency, he hopes not only to strengthen the ties between the AGF Group and Polytechnique Montréal, but also to inspire future engineers to develop sustainable and innovative solutions for our society. It’s a partnership that will undoubtedly continue to make significant contributions to the world of engineering, testifying to the importance of supporting training and innovation to build a better future.
