Health and safety: heading in the right direction

Our operations have a great deal to do with the health and safety of our workers. First, there are our employees in the rebar plant and on the worksite, where the risks are elevated and costs are correspondingly high. Then there are our Scaffolding and Access operations, where we supply and install safe access systems for various other trades working on construction sites and elsewhere. As well, we manufacture safety equipment through our Winsafe and Hydro Mobile divisions.   I am therefore very proud to announce that highly significant improvements were observed in the areas of health and safety in 2011, compared to 2010. I would like to congratulate not only those who are responsible for health and safety in every division, but all of our employees for their essential contribution. I wish you all a happy, safe 2012.
