An inspiring and successful HSE week and first Symposium
From May 5 to 12, AGF Group held its HSE Week, led by our Health and Safety Department. This initiative sparked a strong wave of engagement across our business units, where daily awareness activities were organized, including hearing tests, a healthy recipe book, informational capsules, crossword puzzles and much more. Both fun and educational, these initiatives served as important reminders of the need to adopt safe habits in our daily routines.
To conclude this week of commitment, the AGF team in Longueuil hosted its very first HSE Symposium – a milestone event dedicated to prevention, education and mobilization around workplace health and safety issues.
A strong program with impactful presentations
In front of an audience of over 250 attentive and engaged employees, several speakers addressed critical topics related to workplace prevention. Among them was Sarah Fortier, Human Resources Business Partner, who delivered an essential presentation on workplace harassment, a topic too often left unspoken, yet crucial in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment.
We were also privileged to welcome Ian Lavoie, external speaker, who generously shared the story of his serious workplace accident. His testimony, both moving and inspiring, held the room in a rare silence. Each word resonated deeply and any of our employees were visibly emotional. This powerful moment will be remembered as a strong reminder of the importance of safety in our daily lives.
A hands-on technological demonstration
To round out the event, the team from Biolift delivered a live demonstration of its exoskeleton, an innovative technology designed to reduce the risk of back injuries. Its presence sparked plenty of questions, reflecting a growing interest in practical solutions for prevention.
AGF’s HSE Symposium: A collective success worth repeating
With an exceptional participation rate and strong employee engagement, this first HSE Symposium was a resounding success. It not only raised awareness but also helped to further strengthen our health and safety culture, a core value at Groupe AGF.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this first edition such a meaningful event. One thing is clear: Together, we will continue building safer, more humane, and more responsible workplaces.
