Finch West project – Extension of the Toronto subway

The Finch West line is a light-rail transit project under construction in Toronto, running east to west from the Finch West station in the borough of North York.

In Ontario, Technical Director Nadia Alonso and her team, including Bolawa Fadojutimi and Ehab Mahdaly, are working on this imposing structure, which is an extension of the city’s subway. They’re currently focusing on the detailing, supply and installation of rebar.

AGF’s work on the line, which represents more than 3,000 MT of steel, began in first quarter 2021 and is scheduled to be completed sometime in second quarter 2023.

The Finch West station, a major project (more than 4,500 MT), is slated for completion in third quarter 2022.

Proyecto Finch West – Extensión del metro en Toronto

La línea Finch West es un proyecto del tren ligero en construcción en Toronto. La línea va de este a oeste, de la estación de metro Finch West al distrito North York.

En Ontario, Nadia Alonso, Directora Técnica, y su equipo, del cual forman parte Bolawa Fadojutimi y Ehab Mahdaly, trabajan en esta estructura de gran magnitud que es la extensión del metro de la ciudad. En efecto, en este momento trabajan en el detallado, suministro e instalación del acero de refuerzo.

El mandato de AGF para toda la línea inició durante el primer trimestre de 2021 y debe de terminarse aproximadamente durante el segundo trimestre de 2023 con más de 3000 t de acero.

En cuanto a la estación Finch West, se trata de un trabajo de gran envergadura (más de 4500 t) que debe de ver la luz durante el tercer trimestre de 2022.
