At AGF Rebar, we have been stretching both on sites and in the shop prior to commencing work for about a year now. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete the stretching and conducting a daily toolbox to review the hazards of the upcoming day. In this short 5 minutes, it brings all workers together and helps them get their mind on work and off of home life.
Stretching strengthens and stretches the muscles to prevent workplace injuries and the toolbox reminds the workers of the hazards that are present in their upcoming work day.
Below are a couple of our workers testimonials and their thoughts on stretching each day.
Adam Boyle: “I enjoy the warm ups for it loosens our muscles and gets the blood flow going and gives us all a chance to perform as a team”.
Andrew Snow: “I look forward to the warm ups as I find it gives me a good wakeup call and loosens body muscles and increases blood flow. I also find it a moral boost for we can relate to our coworkers”.

Ya hace un año que nos hemos estado realizando ejercicios de estiramiento en las obras y en el taller antes de comenzar a trabajar. Toma menos de cinco minutos completar la rutina de estiramiento y revisar una caja de herramientas diaria para revisar los riesgos del día. Estos cortos cinco minutos reúnen a los trabajadores y los ayudan a concentrarse en el trabajo y a dejar a un lado las preocupaciones de casa. Los estiramientos refuerzan y estiran los músculos para evitar las lesiones en el lugar de trabajo y la caja de herramientas les recuerda a los trabajadores los peligros presentes en el día que les espera.
A continuación le presentamos dos testimonios de trabajadores y su opinión sobre los estiramientos diarios:
Adam Boyle: “Disfruto los calentamientos ya que relajan nuestros músculos y hacen que la sangre circule. Además nos dan la oportunidad de actuar en equipo”.
Andrew Snow: “Espero ansiosamente los calentamientos ya que son una verdadera llamada de atención, relajan los músculos e incrementan el flujo sanguíneo. También creo que alzan la moral ya que podemos relacionarnos con nuestros compañeros de trabajo”.
