Healthy Employees

The importance of a healthy lifestyle is regularly promoted throughout our organization. We foster good nutrition, stretching, exercise and, in a broader sense, philanthropy.

We have a good number of sports enthusiasts within the Group: athletes of all levels who are looking to surpass themselves, or who are just looking to have some fun.

During the summer, I encouraged my colleagues to take part in races like the Mud Hero Obstacle Race. For this occasion, AGF teams were created in order to compete in several races across Canada: Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

We would especially like to congratulate Islam Khan (AGF C&T), Summer Elliot (AGF Rebar—Markham), Dana Lingwood, Janet Hurley and Christine Lishman (AGF Albrecht) for their great performance at Toronto’s Mud Hero race! They formed the biggest team.

The Ottawa team consisted of Philip Eberley, Eric Rodrigue, Patrick Bard, Christian Witt, who was accompanied by his daughter, and myself!

I also had the chance to participate in both Montreal and Calgary’s Mud Hero races in which I proudly represented AGF. It was a wonderful activity and the comment I most often heard by participants was that they had a lot of fun. I have already signed up for next year’s race!

Participating in these activities encourages the promotion of health and safety at work and at home. A healthy employee will show greater work attendance, thus promoting overall corporate health. I encourage you to join me next year for the Mud Hero Series races. Together, we can surpass ourselves while having fun!

Empleados saludables

En la gran familia AGF promovemos hábitos de vida saludables. Apoyamos la buena alimentación, los estiramientos, el ejercicio y en un área más amplia, la filantropía.

Contamos con varios deportistas en el Grupo: deportistas de todos los niveles que desean divertirse o superarse.

Durante el verano, exhorté a mis colegas a participar en carreras de obstáculos como Mud Hero. Es así que se crearon equipos AGF para varias carreras en Canadá: Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa y Toronto.

¡Queremos particularmente felicitar a Islam Khan de AGF C&T, Summer Elliot de AGF Rebar, Markham, Dana Lingwood, Janet Hurley y Christine Lishman de AGF Albrecht por su maravilloso desempeño en el Mud Hero de Toronto! Formaron el equipo más grande.

El equipo de Ottawa estaba compuesto de Philip Eberley, Eric Rodrigue, Patrick Bard, Christian Witt que corría con su hija ¡y yo!

También tuve la oportunidad de participar en la carrera Mud Hero de Montreal y Calgary en las cuales representé al equipo AGF. Fue una maravillosa actividad y lo que más se comentó fue el placer que proporciona. ¡Ya me inscribí a la carrera del año entrante!

El hecho de participar en estas actividades favorece la promoción de la salud y la seguridad tanto en la vida personal como en el trabajo. Un empleado saludable estará más presente en el trabajo, lo cual favorece toda la salud corporativa. Los exhorto a participar conmigo el año entrante en las carreras de la serie Mud Hero. ¡Juntos podemos superarnos de una manera placentera!
