AGF is contributing to the extension of the Blue Line of the Montreal metro.

Our teams are responsible for the fabrication and installation of reinforcing steel for the tunnel boring machine (TBM) launch ramps at the following stations: Vertières (Pie-IX), Mary-Two-Axe-Earley (Viau), Césira-Parisotto (Lacordaire), Madeleine-Parent (Langelier), and Anjou (Galeries d’Anjou).

More specifically, we are responsible for installing:

– Sliding beams – foundation elements connecting the footings that will support the movement of the TBM;
– The thrust frame – a structure designed to withstand the reaction forces of the hydraulic jacks during the TBM pushing operations;
– Mass concrete blocks – heavily reinforced structural blocks serving as anchors to ensure the stability of the TBM launch ramp.
